Heels to Heal: A Fashion Show to Remember

When I was first invited to Heels to Heal I did not know what the cause was for. I just knew it was a fashion show so I needed to be there. When I arrived at the Vinoy Renaissance Hotel in St. Petersburg, Fl on Friday around 6pm just before doors opened I checked in and was guided into cocktail hour which was held in a long room with a pink ambiance filled with stretches of tables presenting what seemed to be over 100 silent auction prizes. I took a gander but of course made my way to the bar for my complimentary martini. They had to different flavors of martini (there was a contest going on!). One was a rum, kind of islandy martini and the other was a cosmo but it was like a spiced, cinnamon martini. That one had my vote, but naturally I took both and double fisted.

Soon the doors opened and we went to sit down in our seats. I had to hold the fort down since my party had not yet arrived. I chose our seats in the center of the cat walk which turned out to be great because all the models stopped and turned side to side halfway down. After i downed my martini’s I was starved. My ladies had yet to arrive and Tamy (Tamy Lugo of VStylist.com) was backstage getting ready for her debut as MC. There was a table in the VIP sections filled with scrumptious food. I walked myself right in there and made a plate. It was every bit outstanding as it looked. Drinks were flowing, the food was great and the attendees were high in spirit. I got one more drink, run of the middle vodka soda, when the girls arrived then we took our seats.

The show began at 7:10pm. Tamy and her co-host John William Barger took the stage looking classy as ever. They introduced the CEO of Heels to Heal, Melissa Mihok, who looked beautiful as she proudly educated us on the program and the importance of the support in the community. Heels to Heal is a non-profit organization that helps women of domestic violence and sexual assault work their way to recovery. They get them the therapy they need to get their mojo back and become the girlboss they were intended to be. What an awesome organization I thought, how amazing.

Tamy and her co-host did an amazing job keeping the energy up and everyone engaged in what was happening. The live auction was incredible. There was so much passion and eagerness to help support the group, along with some pretty awesome prizes like a table of booze and a trip to Africa!

The clothing in the show was from local boutiques. They were worn by some pretty amazing models who rocked the runway like the boss babes they are! Here are a list of the boutiques where you can run over and grab any of the items from the show immediately! Check them out! If you are not from Tampa, be sure to visit their websites.
